Year 7 Activity Club |

On Tuesdays between 3.20 and 4.30pm, the school runs an Activities Club for Year 7 pupils. It is open to all pupils and offers a variety of activities to cater for all types of interests. The clubs are run by teachers or qualified coaches and offer a more relaxed and informal opportunity to experience different activities. |

There is a small charge of £7.00 which covers the cost of providing equipment, extra materials, coaches/instructors and lifeguards. |

The first sessions starts in October 2006 and runs until December. (10 sessions)

The activities are listed below: |

Swimming
Recreational swimming with the use of floats, flumes and inflatables. Qualified lifeguards are provided to supervise this activity. |

Table Tennis and Badminton
Pupils have the chance to participate in the activity of their choice. Whilst being mainly for fun, help and advice is available if requested, and mini-tournaments are often played. |

Drama
This activity involves all aspects of drama and mime |

Gymnastics
This new Olympic-style course will be run by a qualified coach, and involves the use of the facilities in the east Midlands Gym Centre, including vault, floor and beam work. (Limited places – 20 only) |

Some activities have limited space, so although every attempt is made to meet the first choice, this cannot be guaranteed. |
