Developments |
| |
The faculty is developing the use of CAD & CAM (computer aided manufacture) at all keystages. The new ICT suite is providing an opportunity at GCSE & above to produce project work of outstanding quality. The use of both the A3 printer and colour laser jet printer has allowed pupils to produce outcomes on par with shop based quality. The plotter/cutter has also contributed to the resistant materials pupils raising the levels of the practical outcomes.
The next stage is the investment of a laser cutter. This will enable all technology pupils to gain abetter understanding of how products are designed and produced in industry. |
